Travel Blog Network Unveiled at www.365.travel
Recently launched, www.365.travel is a travel blog network that brings together travelers from all over the world. Users of 365.travel are all individuals that enjoy travel and have taken advantage of the free travel blogs provided by 365.travel to track and tell their travel stories.
It is becoming increasingly popular for travelers to create travel blogs and update them during their journeys. Today’s travelers want to document their daily adventures in journal entries and pictures for their friends, family, and followers to view.
“I liked the sound of the .travel extension, and although the cost was significantly more than other extensions, I realized that I could obtain a more attractive website with .travel,” commented co-owner of 365.travel, Robert Geoghegan, “As the .travel extension says exactly what it does, ‘on the packet’, I feel it has helped us gain a foothold in an extremely competitive area.”
Travel Daily News 5.5.08, “.travel Launches New 2.0 Website”
.travel launched its new 2.0 website at www.travel.travel. Formerly informational in nature, the new website includes 2.0 features such as a .travel blog and interactive media tools to nurture collaboration amongst the .travel community.
The new site includes components such as photo slideshows, videos, and interviews with the .travel executive team. To enhance the level of participation from the travel community, the Company has also added the .travel blog. The blog will be a two-way dialogue between the .travel team and the travel and tourism community.
“We are especially excited about the opportunities to interact with the travel community at the new website,” commented President and CEO of Tralliance Corporation, Edward A. Cespedes, “We look forward to their comments and suggestions. The new website represents the next step in our continued evolution as the top level domain for the travel and tourism industry.”
Travel Weekly, “Interest is growing in dot-travel domain names”
Tralliance President Ed Cespedes and aides have been on a global road show in Europe and Central America for the past few weeks and say interest in the dot-travel online domain is picking up.
“We have been getting a nice reception everywhere,” Cespedes said. “The key difference now is that we are hitting an inflection point with dot-com. It is as real a factor for us as anything else.
“The Web is running out of dot-com names, with some 75 million names already outstanding. As of right now, all four-digit number and letter combinations are gone, and all five-digit may be gone soon.”
He said that while some businesses are shopping for domain names on the secondary markets, prices there are high.
The registrar of the dot-travel domain is also finding other factors encouraging. Cespedes said that while there has not been a wholesale jump in the number of dot-travel domain names (bulk sales have not yet proven popular), sites are up and running under the new Tralliance policies that set a deadline for buyers of new domains to post relevant material. That policy is stimulating new interest in corporate opportunities, he said.

Travel Trade, “Tralliance CEO Reports Growing Interest in Dot-Travel”
Tralliance president and CEO Edward Cespedes reports significant progress with the dot-travel Registry and its effects on the global travel industry, including travel agencies.
At the recent Annual General Meeting of The Travel Partnership Corporation, created to promote the addition to the Internet of the dot-travel top level domain, which now includes 230,000 domain names worldwide, Cespedes said that Tralliance has experienced a significant growth in dot-travel domain name sales. The domain names end in “.travel,” rather than the familiar “.com” to signify to consumers that they are dealing with a travel company that has been vetted and approved by Tralliance.
