.TRAVEL's ADVENTURES IN LONDON

The .travel team has just returned from a week abroad in London, which was jam packed with functions, interviews, meetings, and more!

The week began with the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA) conference and workshop. The .travel team had the opportunity to interview with eTurboNews, TravelMole, On the Road, and Travel Breaking News. Additionally, .travel was the exclusive sponsor of the ETOA workshop and had the chance to address all of the 500 attendees as well as hold 30 one-on-one conferences with members of ETOA. As an added perk, the .travel team was invited to the Annual Gala as special guests of Tom Jenkins, Executive Director of ETOA.

On Sunday, .travel participated in the The Travel Partnership Corporation (TTPC) Board of Directors meeting. The meeting was productive and included a presentation from Edward A. Cespedes, CEO of Tralliance, as well as future strategies on how to improve .travel. The Board discussed future marketing opportunities with the Tralliance Partnership International (TPI) program. Also, the Board approved various proposals for the advancement of .travel worldwide.

Monday through Wednesday, the team attended the World Travel Market. Monday, Edward A. Cespedes and Heidi Siefkas-Cassemiro, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for Tralliance, were invited to the Captain's Industry Lunch which was held adjacent to Excel on the Sturgeon. That evening, .travel hosted its TPI dinner, which allowed the opportunity for Edward A. Cespedes to present the future of .travel, listen to feedback, and answer questions.

On Tuesday, the .travel team had meetings and interviews at WTM with Fiona Jeffery and Tom Nutley of Reed Exhibitions and Just a Drop, Rupali Narasimham, editor of Trav Talk, David Tarsh, Managing Director of Tarsh Consulting, and two presentations for .travel's Romanian partners and their Russian partners. Additionally, many of their international partners took advantage of stopping by the ETOA booth to follow up with the .travel executive team regarding some of their strategic plans.

On their final day in London, the .travel team took to the show floor and documented many of the organizations using .travel as their domain name, including: slovakia.travel, madeiraislands.travel, turismo-chile.travel, argentina.travel, climatesolutions.travel by the UNWTO, and many others. They also saw various signs throughout London, including Egypt.travel on the double-decker buses, and Poland.travel in the Tube!

It provides complete stream-line packaged airline, hotel, cruise, visa, travel insurance to China travel enthusiasts while keeping a competitive edge in pricing, value of products and the quality of service.

Launching ChinaTours.travel in March 2008, the World Panda Travel group adopted to .travel with an intention of cutting through the clutter of conventional domain names and making the industry that they are in more easily identifiable.

ChinaTours.travel places emphasis on the .travel extension for the purpose of marketing and outreach to their customers and affiliates. The wide range of .travel names available that clearly represent the business gave ChinaTours the opportunity to use their domain name as brand identification.

When asked how the organization benefitted from the .travel name, David Klees Ding, Managing Director, answered ".travel gave us the opportunity to compete with clear brand identification in today's online product market. We look forward to full-fledged benefits with great anticipation as .travel matures as a brand by itself becoming more accepted, from the e-commerce viewpoint especially."
